Speculation continues about Christian Horner’s future after Red Bull exit

According to Formula1.com, Christian Horner surprisingly ended his tenure as CEO and team principal of Red Bull Racing on Wednesday — after 20 years leading the Milton Keynes-based team.

Speculation about Horner’s future has emerged, with Alpine and Ferrari being the most frequently linked destinations. Alpine is currently temporarily led by Flavio Briatore following Oliver Oakes’ resignation last May.

Rumors about Ferrari were quickly denied by team principal Fred Vasseur, who received support from drivers Lewis Hamilton and Charles Leclerc.

“I cannot imagine Horner joining Ferrari. Although rumors are circulating, it doesn’t seem like a good fit for him,” stated F1 reporter Jennie Gow on The Sports Agents podcast.

“One of the main reasons Lewis moved to Ferrari was to work again with Fred Vasseur. If they replace Fred with Horner, I doubt Lewis would stay long at Ferrari,” added Will Buxton, former Formula 1 reporter.
