Midlaner Quinn “Quinn” Callahan, who delivered a standout performance as a standi-in for Team Falcons at ESL One Raleigh 2025, has earned widespread acclaim from fans who eager to see him remain with the squad for upcoming tournaments.

Loaned by Gaimin Gladiators, Quinn stepped in for Stanislav “Malr1ne” Potorak, who was sidelined due to visa complications. The American player meshed effortlessly with Falcons’ strategies, playing a pivotal role in their dominant group stage run. However, their momentum stalled in the lower bracket quarterfinals, leading to an early exit.

Despite the team’s elimination, some of Falcons fans have flooded social media, advocating for Quinn’s permanent signing. These hopes, however, were swiftly tempered by Falcons’ captain, Jingjun “Sneyking” Wu, who reaffirmed Malr1ne’s imminent return to the roster.

“Malr1ne will be back, so we’ll be playing at full strength again” Sneyking emphasized during his final ESL One Raleigh 2025 interview.

While fan enthusiasm persists, Quinn’s buyout by the Falcons is very unlikely to happen. Even if the team were able to do so, GG would likely refuse to release their star midlaner—a move made even less feasible following the recent departure of their captain, Melchior ‘Seleri’ Hillenkamp.”

Quinn and GG are slated to clash with Team Falcons again at Blast Slam III later on May 4. The two teams last met in the tournament’s previous iteration, where the Gladiators triumphed over Falcons en route to a second-place finish.
