Simon Tahamata Joins Indonesia National Team Staff

According to VoetbalPrimeur, Simon Tahamata — a legendary Ajax Amsterdam player of Maluku descent — will join the Indonesia national football team as a talent scout starting Monday (May 19).

The former Ajax Amsterdam winger, who played for the club from 1976 to 1980, will collaborate with a coaching team that includes Patrick Kluivert, Denny Landzaat, and Alex Pastoor — with a focus on discovering new talents for the Garuda squad.

Tahamata brings extensive experience in Dutch football. He previously served as a youth coach at Ajax Amsterdam for a decade, from 2004 to 2014.
