Simon Tahamata to Join Indonesian National Team as Talent Scout

According to VoetbalPrimeur, Simon Tahamata — the Ajax Amsterdam legend with Maluku heritage — is set to join the Indonesian national team as a talent scout starting Monday, May 19.

Joining forces with top Dutch coaching figures

The former Ajax Amsterdam player, who played for the club from 1976 to 1980, will work alongside key figures in the national team setup including Patrick Kluivert, Denny Landzaat, and Alex Pastoor. Their mission is to identify and develop new talents for the Garuda squad.

Deep coaching experience at Ajax

Tahamata brings a wealth of coaching experience, having served as an academy coach at Ajax for ten years from 2004 to 2014. His background in youth development is expected to strengthen Indonesia’s efforts in scouting and nurturing emerging football talent.
