Shin Tae-yong comments on Indonesia’s narrow victory over China

According to Bolasport.com, Shin Tae-yong has shared his thoughts on Indonesia’s national team qualifying for the fourth round of the 2026 World Cup Qualifiers Asian Zone.

The Garuda Squad — now coached by Patrick Kluivert — managed to defeat China 1-0 at the Gelora Bung Karno Main Stadium in Jakarta last week.

This victory secured Indonesia’s position in the top four of Group C with 12 points.

“The players demonstrated excellent gameplay, but I’m disappointed they only scored one goal,” said Shin Tae-yong.

The South Korean coach believes — a victory with a larger margin would have provided additional confidence for the team heading into the next round.
