Sergio Ramos made headlines again in a Liga MX match between Monterrey and Tigres — this time for an unusual penalty drama.

The 39-year-old defender — who just received his 30th career red card last month — found himself in a unique situation when facing Tigres goalkeeper Nahuel Guzmán.

During a second-half penalty attempt, Ramos faced unconventional tactics from Guzmán who turned his back at the goal line with arms spread wide. The keeper even performed distracting movements along the goal line.

Despite facing concentration disruption attempts for over 90 seconds, Sergio Ramos successfully placed the ball into the bottom corner — maintaining his perfect record from the spot.

However, victory ultimately went to Tigres thanks to dramatic goals from Sebastián Córdova and Nicolás Ibáñez in injury time, changing the score to 2-1.

With two matches remaining in the Clausura championship, Monterrey sits ninth with 22 points, while Tigres holds fourth position with 29 points — four points behind league leaders Toluca.
