Sergio Garcia Fired from Moto2 Team Ahead of Italian GP

According to Motorsport.com, Sergio Garcia has parted ways with QJMotor-FRINSA-MSI team ahead of the ninth round of Italian GP at Mugello Circuit — a decision reached by mutual agreement between both parties.

This dismissal comes as a major surprise — considering the Spanish rider’s brilliant performance last season. Garcia was even leading the Moto2 standings after eight races in 2024, with achievements including:

• 3 additional podiums

Garcia’s achievements previously earned recognition from MotoGP champion Fabio Quartararo of Monster Energy Yamaha — who suggested Garcia deserved a seat at Pramac team as they prepared to become Yamaha’s satellite team.
