Senna Agius Claims Dramatic Victory in British Moto2, Gonzalez Crashes Out

Senna Agius of Liqui Moly Dynavolt Intact GP delivered a sensational performance to win the British Moto2 at Silverstone Circuit, capitalizing on a series of dramatic events that unfolded during the race.

The Australian rider emerged victorious after a thrilling last-lap duel with Aron Canet from Fantic Racing Lino Sonego, who had led most of the race before slipping out of podium contention.

Gonzalez Crashes, Mario Aji Absent

Championship leader Manuel Gonzalez endured a nightmare at Silverstone. A poor start saw him drop out of the top 10, and matters worsened after a collision with Barry Baltus at Turn 6. The incident forced Gonzalez to retire — marking a major blow to his title campaign.

Meanwhile, Indonesian rider Mario Aji remained absent due to a shoulder dislocation, missing another key round of the season.

Moreira and Alonso Complete the Podium

Diogo Moreira of Italtrans Racing Team put on a consistent and strategic ride to secure second place, while David Alonso — a rookie and reigning Moto3 world champion — claimed third for CFMOTO Inde Aspar Team.

The result marks a breakthrough for Agius and reshapes the Moto2 title picture heading into the second half of the season.
