Selangor Red Giants OG star player John “Innocent” Banal says he can’t wait to compete at next month’s MSC x EWC 2025 in Saudi Arabia against teams from around the world.

SRG.OG lived up to their fans’ expectations with a dominant performance in the MPL Malaysia Season 15 finals, decisively defeating rival HomeBois. This victory secured their spot as Malaysia’s representative for the MSC x EWC tournament for the second year running.

The Boys in Red will enter the tournament as reigning champions, making them a prime target for the top teams they beat last season. Despite this, Innocent insists his team feels no pressure and is confident they can retain their title.

The Filipino player is also driven to prove his team remains among the elite, regardless of MPL MY’s reputation as a “farmer league.” He believes SRG.OG’s mindset and strategies are in perfect sync, and they are ready to take on world-class opponents.

Looking at their track record and strategies over the past year, SRG.OG has truly earned its status as a global MLBB powerhouse. They proved this by defeating two MPL PH giants in last season’s MSC and finishing third in their first M Championship at the end of 2024.
