Scheunemann family dominates Indonesian football through three family members

Brandon Scheunemann becomes the newest member of the German family to strengthen the Indonesian national team — continuing his family’s legacy of significant contributions to national football.

Previously, Timo Scheunemann had left his mark on Indonesian football — managing Persema Malang in the Indonesian Premier League and Persiba Balikpapan in Liga 1.

Brandon Scheunemann now takes the role of main center-back for Indonesia’s U-23 team in the ASEAN Cup U-23 2025 — continuing his journey after previously representing the U-20 team under Shin Tae-yong’s guidance.

Meanwhile, Claudia Scheunemann — Timo’s younger niece — had already established herself with the Indonesian women’s national team, completing the Scheunemann family’s contribution to national football.
