Scaloni Congratulates Ronaldo on Nations League Title

Argentina national team coach, Lionel Scaloni, has extended his congratulations to Cristiano Ronaldo, who led Portugal to victory in the UEFA Nations League 2024-2025.

Portugal lifted the trophy after defeating Spain 5-3 on penalties at the Allianz Arena. The intense final match ended 2-2 after extra time.

In regular time, Nuno Mendes opened the scoring for Portugal in the 26th minute, but Spain turned the game around through goals from Martin Zubimendi and Mikel Oyarzabal. Cristiano Ronaldo emerged as the savior by scoring the equalizer in the 61st minute — before eventually being substituted due to injury.

Alvaro Morata’s failed penalty attempt proved decisive in Portugal’s victory, which secured Cristiano Ronaldo’s third international trophy.
