Savero Stands Strong as Onic ID’s Staple

After a standout performance in MPL ID Season 15, rookie Onic ID player Clayton “Savero” Adrielo is expected to remain a key player for the upcoming MSC x EWC 2025 and MPL ID Season 16 tournaments.

Replacing veteran Calvin “CW” Winata, Savero initially struggled during the S15 Regular Season and faced heavy criticism on social media as his team lingered in the elimination zone. However, the surprise coaching change from Adi “Adi” Asyauri to Paul “Yeb” Denver unlocked his potential, turning him into one of the season’s top performers.

This situation leaves The Yellow Porcupine with two excellent options for their next rosters: While CW hasn’t competed recently, he still brings strong mechanics and strategic understanding from his experience. Savero, however, is much younger and has a long career ahead.

Regarding Savero’s role, several Onic members have emphasized his importance and confirmed he remains part of their long-term plans. And Gilang “Sanz” stated clearly during a livestream that there are no plans to replace him:

Savero just won MPL, guys. No way he’s getting replaced. As long as he stays consistent with his gameplay and keeps improving, he won’t be benched. I’d still pick Savero over anyone.”

Indirectly, this statement also indicates that Onic ID has no plan to join in the RRQ Hoshi star Schevenko “Skylar” Tendean transfer saga, as it makes little sense for them to disrupt their solid strategy just to accommodate a popular player.
