Satoru Mochizuki begins building new team for Women’s Asian Cup Qualification

Satoru Mochizuki, Indonesia women’s national team coach, has initiated the process of forming a new team ahead of the 2026 Women’s Asian Cup Qualification.

The qualification competition — to be held at Indomilk Arena Stadium, Tangerang — is scheduled to run from June 29 to July 5, 2025. Indonesia is placed in Group D alongside three other nations:

  • Chinese Taipei
  • Kyrgyzstan
  • Pakistan

The Japanese coach who led his country to World Cup victory in 2011 — has called up 38 players combining senior team and U-19 national team members. The training camp that began on June 10 will continue until June 23.

“We have just started preparation and will form a new team to face this qualification,” said Mochizuki.

From the 38 players participating in the training camp — only 23 best players will be selected to strengthen the national team in the upcoming qualification tournament.
