Satanic Names His Top Pick in Dota 2 Patch 7.39

Parivision’s Dota 2 star player, Alan “satanic” Gallyamov, recently mentioned his top hero choice in the latest Dota 2 patch 7.39.

As expected, patch 7.39 introduced significant changes that shifted the competitive meta. This includes new mechanics and upgrades to previously underused items.

However, these changes didn’t automatically make certain heroes overpowered. Instead, players must now think creatively, combining talents with updated item builds. This is why satanic believes previous most picked hero like Templar Assassin remains a top pick despite receiving slight nerfs.

“Templar Assassin is still the hero for the first pick. Yes, she has been weakened, in particular her talent at level 15 and Meld. But it’s not a big deal because now you can use the Refractor aspect and stand the line well. The problem is only with the talent at level 15 is not so critical, because the hero can be taken to different positions,” he said during a livestream on Twitch.

The 17-year-old Russian player also highlighted Lina and Muerta as potential top contenders. Their adjustments make them viable for competitive lineups, and he plans to test them in pubs soon.

With these new mechanics, it will be exciting to see what other pros have in store for the upcoming competitive matches and pub games in Dota 2 patch 7.39.
