Sandy Walsh Asks for Yokohama F. Marinos Supporters’ Patience

Sandy Walsh faces challenges in getting playing time at Yokohama F. Marinos since his transfer from KV Mechelen earlier this year.

The defender has only recorded 12 appearances with the Japanese club — a situation that is less than ideal for his career development.

“Football is about choices and when you play in a team, the selection (Starting XI) is always what’s best for the team,” said Walsh.

“Of course as a football player like myself, I won’t say that I don’t want…that I’m not happy, but I am happy to be in this team,” he added.

The former KV Mechelen player emphasizes that the coach’s decisions must be respected — he can only give his best during training sessions to earn playing opportunities.
