Ramadhan Sananta Transfers to DPMM FC, Persis Solo Breaks Silence

Brunei-based football club, DPMM FC, has officially signed Ramadhan Sananta, a promising striker from Persis Solo, marking a major move in the Southeast Asian football transfer market. The news was announced on the club’s official social media accounts and website, drawing immediate attention from Indonesian football fans.

Sananta, known for his pace and clinical finishing, joins the Singapore Premier League club after a solid season with Persis Solo in Liga 1 Indonesia. His transfer is seen as a potential stepping stone to elevate his career in international competitions.

Sananta’s emotional farewell at Manahan Stadium

The 22-year-old striker gave a heartfelt farewell to fans during what appears to be his final appearance in Persis Solo colors — a league match against Dewa United. After the final whistle, Sananta took time to walk around Manahan Stadium, waving to fans and thanking them for their unwavering support throughout his tenure.

“We’ll talk more about it later,” said Sananta when asked about the transfer by reporters in the mixed zone.

His gesture sparked speculation that an official announcement would follow — which DPMM FC confirmed shortly after.

Persis Solo breaks silence, confirms player’s registration status

In response to the transfer buzz, Bryan Barcelona, the media officer for Persis Solo, addressed the situation. Despite DPMM FC’s confirmation, Persis maintains that Sananta is still contractually registered with the club.

“Ramadhan Sananta is still officially part of Persis Solo’s squad as of today,” Bryan said in a statement to local media.

Whether the transfer was completed with mutual agreement or is still under final negotiations remains unclear. However, the move reflects a growing trend of Indonesian players seeking opportunities abroad, particularly in ASEAN leagues like the Singapore Premier League.

A rising star making bold moves abroad

Sananta rose to prominence with PSM Makassar and later joined Persis Solo, becoming a regular in Indonesia’s national team call-ups under coaches Shin Tae-yong and Patrick Kluivert. His international experience and attacking versatility make him a valuable asset for any club.

At DPMM FC, he is expected to bring added firepower as the team aims to improve its standings in the 2025 Singapore Premier League season.
