Saina Nehwal and Parupalli Kashyap end their seven-year marriage

Saina Nehwal — former world number one badminton player from India — announced the end of her marriage to fellow badminton athlete Parupalli Kashyap through social media.

The couple who exchanged sacred vows in December 2018 — decided to part ways after seven years of married life.

Nehwal is a figure with numerous outstanding achievements in badminton — including three Indonesia Open titles in 2009, 2010, and 2012.

The Indian athlete’s highest achievement was marked by winning bronze at the 2012 London Olympics — complemented by silver at the 2015 World Championships and bronze in 2017.
