S1mple Seals the Deal with FaZe Clan Ahead of IEM Dallas 2025

NaVi’s veteran Oleksandr “s1mple” Kostyliev has finally returned to the competitive scene after a two-year hiatus, signing a deal with FaZe Clan’s CS2 roster as a player.

As of today, the legendary AWPer will stand in for Helvijs “broky” Saukants, who has reportedly been benched following his underwhelming performances in recent matches. The Ukrainian player is slated to compete in major tournaments like IEM Dallas 2025 and the BLAST Austin Major 2025, both scheduled to take place in the near future.

S1mple’s addition brings renewed hope to FaZe supporters eager to see improvements in the squad. After their impressive showing at the Blast Premier Fall in August 2024, the team has since failed to deliver notable results. They even drew criticism following an early exit from the IEM Melbourne competition a few weeks ago.

Given s1mple’s experience and prowess in high-stakes matches, FaZe could once again become a threat to rival teams that have already bolstered their rosters with strong signings ahead of May. Although he hasn’t competed in a major tournament since the transition from CS:GO to CS2, s1mple is not a kind of player who needs to fully readjust—and is certainly not one to be underestimated.
