RRQ Seeks Revenge Against Fnatic at EWC 2025, Team Poll Reveals

RRQ’s Valorant squad recently revealed they’re hoping for a remontada against Fnatic at the upcoming EWC 2025 in Saudi Arabia, starting next week.

In a team social media poll, the squad captained by Ngô “crazyguy” Anh overwhelmingly chose Fnatic as their top wanted opponent at the upcoming major tournament. G2 Esports was named as the second most wanted teams on their list.

This desire for a rematch is clearly understandable as their fate was sealed prematurely in Toronto against The Orange. Despite entering the knockout stage as top seeds, RRQ suffered back-to-back losses – first to Wolves in the upper bracket, and then to Fnatic in the lower bracket – resulting in an early elimination.

The loss to Fnatic was particularly painful, considering the Indonesian powerhouse had leveled the series 1-1 and looked strong then. Tactical miscalculations on the decisive map, Ascent, proved costly as the EMEA giant capitalized effectively, ultimately handing RRQ a heavy 5-13 defeat.

Meanwhile, assistant coach Evan “Warbirds” Olzem was the only one not interested in facing Fnatic. He preferred matchups against top teams from his home region: 100 Thieves, Sentinels, and G2.
