RRQ Sutsujin Names Onic ID as Potential Contender in MPL ID Season 15

RRQ Hoshi’s star player, Arthur Sunarkho aka RRQ Sutsujin, recently shared his thoughts on Onic ID’s potential in MPL ID Season 15.

Though RRQ has secured an upper bracket playoff spot after topping the Regular Season standings, the 20-year-old jungler believes their toughest challenge awaits in the playoffs—particularly against Onic, who climbed to 5th place in the current standings after Week 8.

Sutsujin emphasized that Onic’s revival isn’t solely due to individual player skill but rather the return of their legendary coach, Paul “Yeb” Denver, who was appointed as interim coach this season. He credits Yeb for revitalizing the team’s morale and strategy.

“Onic is really strong now that Coach Yeb is back,” Sutsujin stated in a post-match interview.

This shift is evident in Onic’s performance, which has starkly improved compared to their first-half struggles. Earlier in the season, the team suffered multiple losses, even dropping to 7th place and was on the brink of elimination.

However, their mental resilience and strategies transformed after Yeb took over from former coach Adi “Adi” Asyauri, who now serves as an analyst. In recent weeks, Onic defeated top teams like Evos, Bigetron, and even RRQ Hoshi to secure their playoff berth.

With two games in hand, Onic could still secure an upper bracket spot if they win both decisively and higher-ranked teams (2nd to 4th place) fail to maximize their opportunities.
