RRQ Kushy Reveals Wrist Pain Struggles at VCT Pacific 2025 Stage 1

The 2025 VCT Pacific Stage 1 champion, Brian “Kushy” Setiawan of RRQ, recently opened up about facing minor physical challenges during the group stage that affected his performance.

After inconsistent showings leading up to the playoffs, Kushy finally showed up and helped his team defeat Pacific circuit powerhouses like DRX, Paper Rex, and eventual finalists Gen.G. His remarkable improvement then sparked curiosity about his training regimen.

However, the Indonesian player actually revealed that he just recovered from a hand injury, which explained why he played really well in the last week.

I don’t know if people know it outside but after the Kickoff I started having a bit of wrist pain. I don’t know if it really affected me but until now, even before the game, I had wrist pain today before the grand final. So thank you to my psychologist, she helped me,” he shared in a post-match interview at the VCT Pacific.

Statistically, Kushy’s numbers may not shine as brightly as his teammates’ early-tournament dominance. Yet his clutch performances in the finals proved pivotal, guiding RRQ through high-pressure moments to claim the title.
