RRQ Hoshi Opts for Tempered Expectations Ahead of MSC x EWC 2025

As MSC x EWC 2025 approaches its main event date, RRQ Hoshi seems focused on avoiding the pressure of big ambitions. Instead, they’re choosing to approach each match level-headedly.

Alongside Onic ID, they represent the MPL Indonesia league and are considered a top team. However, the entire squad and management have committed to keeping expectations realistic and maintaining full focus until the very end.

This attitude was reinforced by RRQ CEO Andrian “AP” Pauline in his recent social media livestream. He urged both his players and loyal RRQ fans not to get overly hyped up and to accept whatever the outcome may be.

AP also reminded everyone that this is RRQ Hoshi’s first MSC appearance in a long time, making it a crucial step for building the team’s mental resilience and gaining valuable insights for future major tournaments beyond MSC. For this year, finishing in third place would be an acceptable result.

A similar sentiment is shared by Onic ID, who enter the competition as one of this season’s favorites. This cautious approach isn’t unreasonable, especially considering the disappointing results from MPL ID teams in last year’s MSC x EWC. Back then, both Evos and Onic ID surprisingly failed to reach the playoffs.
