Changes are Coming as RRQ’s Dream Month Turned Nightmare

Despite giving their all, RRQ eventually faced the harsh reality of being eliminated from two major tournaments this month: MLBB Pro League Indonesia Season 15 and VCT Masters Toronto 2025. And this setback will surely be a key focus before they resume the next half of the season.

These results are deeply disappointing for their supporters, especially considering RRQ started both tournaments strongly. This contrast is particularly sharp when compared to the teams they defeated earlier.

In MPL ID Season 15, they finished the Regular Season in first place, advancing directly to the playoffs. There, they faced Onic ID, a team that had barely survived the group stage. However, RRQ’s long-awaited hopes for a championship title were dashed in a dramatic 3-4 finals loss against the Yellow Porcupine.

Meanwhile, their Valorant team’s performance dropped significantly after an impressive run in the previous VCT Pacific 2025: Stage 1. Despite entering as regional champions, they suffered an early exit in the Toronto playoffs, losing back-to-back matches to Wolves Esports and Fnatic.

These poor results have led many supporters to question the team’s readiness for the upcoming season. RRQ’s CEO, Andrian “AP” Pauline, addressed these concerns directly on his social media livestream.

He stated that the organization is satisfied with the solid performance and clear improvement shown by both popular divisions compared to last year. However, he acknowledged that following these recent results, they will likely seek new talent to address weaknesses within the MLBB and Valorant teams.

Despite the setbacks, RRQ still has a chance for redemption at next month’s Esports World Cup 2025 in Saudi Arabia. They must now use the coming weeks to improve their performance and prepare to face opponents accustomed to international competition.
