RRQ CEO Andrian “AP” Pauline recently surprised fans during a live stream by revealing the organization’s interest in joining the MLBB Pro League in Malaysia.

Reports suggest that MPL Malaysia is planning to implement a franchise system soon, with rumors further fueled by the announcement of paid spectator tickets starting in Season 15, which kicks off this week.

This development has drawn attention from major esports organizations, RRQ included. AP said that RRQ would consider joining the league if the franchise slot price aligns with their expectations.

“Yes, I’ve heard the news [about MPL MY’s franchise model]. If the price is reasonable, RRQ might join MPL Malaysia,” he said.

If this happens, it would mark RRQ’s second international MLBB team competing in a top-tier league outside Indonesia. Previously, they operated RRQ Akira in Brazil, which briefly coexisted with their main roster, RRQ Hoshi, during the 2023 M4 World Championship. However, the Brazilian team disbanded in 2024 due to the region’s unstable MLBB esports scene.

Additionally, RRQ also owns RRQ Kaito in the Philippines. The squad, however, stays in the MLBB Development League with no imminent plans to advance to MPL Philippines.
