Robi Darwis’s throw leads Indonesia U-23 to victory over Philippines

Indonesia U-23 national team secured their second victory in ASEAN Cup U-23 2025 after defeating Philippines 1-0 in the Group A continuation.

Robi Darwis — who plays for Persib Bandung — became the key figure in the victory after his throw into the penalty box resulted in an own goal by Jaime Rosquillo.

Coach Gerald Vanenburg acknowledged Robi’s quality throw-ins but emphasized that the player possesses more than just that ability.

“First of all, I think if I’m talking about Robi, I don’t want to talk about throw-ins,” said Vanenburg.

This victory further strengthens Indonesia U-23’s position in Group A of ASEAN Cup U-23 2025.
