Liverpool defender Andy Robertson has addressed the future of his teammate Trent Alexander-Arnold amid links to Real Madrid, as reported by ESPN.

Alexander-Arnold‘s contract situation, which expires this summer, has sparked speculation — the 26-year-old is reportedly a target for Los Blancos on a free transfer.

“Trent’s head is not great because he’s injured. He hates being injured, none of us like being injured but it hurts Trent a little bit more. That’s all he is focused on,” Robertson stated.

The Scottish defender emphasized — despite the circulating rumors, the team’s primary focus remains on helping Alexander-Arnold recover from his ankle injury.

Liverpool recently secured a 1-0 victory over Everton that extended their lead to 12 points at the top of the table, with eight matches remaining this season.

While discussions about Alexander-Arnold’s long-term future continue—Liverpool are reportedly keen to offer him a contract extension to avoid losing a key player on a free transfer. His recovery and return could play a significant role in Liverpool’s title push and potential negotiations in the coming weeks.
