Indonesian volleyball star Rivan Nurmulki faced a tough challenge in the semifinals of the 2024-2025 Japan Volleyball League with his team, Wolfdogs Nagoya.

Their biggest threat came from Suntory Sunbirds, featuring Russian giant Dmitry Muserskiy — a 218 cm tall opposite known for his deadly spikes and dominating presence on the court.

Despite being a natural middle blocker, Rivan impressed with his performance. He was highly effective both as a blocker and quicker, while his jump serves consistently disrupted the opponent’s defense.

The Jambi-born player showcased his high-level skill by earning the Most Valuable Player (MVP) award in the quarterfinal round, significantly contributing to Wolfdogs Nagoya’s victory with several crucial ace serves.
