Rio Ferdinand has issued a warning to Arsenal ahead of their UEFA Champions League quarter-final second leg at the Santiago Bernabéu — despite The Gunners holding a 3-0 aggregate lead over Real Madrid.

The former Manchester United defender described Real Madrid as a club with a mystical aura in the Champions League — particularly when playing on home soil.

“I’m backing Arsenal to go through. If my life depended on it right now, I would still back Arsenal to go through, no problem,” said Ferdinand.

Los Blancos are renowned for their long history of dramatic comebacks — especially at the Bernabéu, where many of their most iconic Champions League moments have unfolded.

With Arsenal aiming to reach the semi-finals for the first time in over a decade, the North London side will need to remain focused and avoid complacency. Real Madrid, with their pedigree and home advantage, remain a dangerous opponent regardless of the scoreline.
