Rinov/Pitha’s future uncertain after disappointing results in recent tournaments

Indonesian mixed doubles pair, Rinov Rivaldy and Pitha Haningtyas Mentari — are facing a critical period in their career following a series of disappointing results in recent tournaments.

The 2017 junior world champions have experienced a significant performance decline — marked by early exits at both Indonesia Open and Singapore Open 2025. The situation has become more complicated after their brief separation earlier this year and their reunion has yet to yield positive results.

“I’ve been with PBSI for a long time and honestly, I feel I haven’t fulfilled my responsibility to PBSI yet. They’ve provided me with additional scholarship support, but I haven’t given any benefits back to PBSI,” Rinov expressed to media after their defeat at Istora Senayan.

This statement emerged as an expression of Rinov’s frustration — feeling unable to repay PBSI’s trust with expected achievements.
