Rinov/Pitha Fail to Advance to Second Round of Indonesia Open 2025

Rinov Rivaldy/Pitha Haningtyas Mentari ended their Indonesia Open 2025 journey prematurely after suffering a first-round defeat at Istora Senayan, Jakarta.

The Indonesian mixed doubles pair fell to Singapore’s, Hee Yong Kai Terry/Jin Yu Jia, despite a strong start that saw them claim the opening game.

Promising start, but momentum fades

The match began with Hee/Jin scoring two early points. Although Rinov/Pitha trailed 2–4, they bounced back and surged ahead to lead 8–4.

Their dominance continued to the mid-game interval at 11–6, and they confidently closed the first game with a convincing 15–6 win.

Repeat disappointment after Singapore Open

However, momentum shifted in the second and third games, where the Singaporean duo outplayed the home favorites.

This defeat mirrors Rinov/Pitha’s recent exit at the Singapore Open, raising concerns over their consistency ahead of future tournaments in the BWF World Tour 2025.
