Renan Silva in negotiations with four Indonesian clubs

Renan Silva, former Liga 1 2019 best player, is currently seeking a new club following the end of his contract with Gresik United. The Brazilian player — who has represented several prominent Indonesian clubs — is in negotiations with multiple teams.

“I came here to meet with several club officials. Currently, I don’t have a team but I hope by next week there will be certainty about which club I will join,” Silva told the media.

The 36-year-old midfielder confirms he is in talks with four clubs — one from Liga 1 and three from Liga 2. While not revealing the clubs’ names, Silva emphasizes that all parties are serious in their negotiations.

“For me, playing in Liga 1 or Liga 2 is the same. I’ve won the championship with Persija in Liga 1 2018 and became the best player in Liga 1 2019,” added the former Borneo FC player.

Silva — who has experience playing for Bhayangkara FC, Madura United, and Persik Kediri — states there is no communication with his former clubs, but is ready to give maximum contribution to his new team.
