Reijnders Ready to Face High Pressure at Manchester City

Tijjani Reijnders reveals the pressure he’s already feeling to win trophies with Manchester City — his new club after transferring from AC Milan.

City finished last season without silverware after placing third in the Premier League and losing the FA Cup final to Crystal Palace — their first season without a major trophy in eight years.

“City is one of the biggest clubs in the world and if you play for a club like this, you have to win prizes,” states Reijnders. “When City came, it was almost a no-brainer. Playing European football and representing City is a dream.”

The 26-year-old midfielder could make his debut against Wydad AC in Philadelphia in the upcoming FIFA Club World Cup match.

After scoring 10 league goals last season with Milan, Reijnders aims to enhance his scoring contribution. “Scoring goals as a midfielder is very important and that’s what I’m looking for, including assists,” he adds while explaining his self-improvement process through video analysis to become calmer in finishing.
