Rehan/Gloria Lose Dramatically to India in Sudirman Cup 2025

Indonesia mixed doubles pair Rehan Naufal Kusharjanto and Gloria Emanuelle Widjaja suffered a dramatic defeat against Dhruv Kapila and Tanisha Crasto from India in their opening match at the Sudirman Cup 2025 in Xiamen Fenghuang Gymnasium, China.

Despite a strong start, where Rehan/Gloria won the first game 21-10 and led 19-16 in the decider, they lost 21-10, 18-21, 19-21.

The Indonesian duo was dominant early on, leading 9-5, capitalizing on several mistakes from their opponents. They controlled the game, especially with Gloria’s sharp serves, which Kapila struggled to anticipate.

However, the Indian pair bounced back in the second and third games, turning the match around despite a solid performance from Rehan/Gloria.
