Rehan/Gloria join Sudirman Cup squad despite being outside PBSI training camp

Mixed doubles pair Rehan Naufal Kusharjanto/Gloria Emanuelle Widjaja from PB Djarum — have been selected for Indonesia’s Sudirman Cup 2025 squad in Xiamen, China, despite being outside the PBSI national training camp.

They will join two other mixed doubles pairs:

• Rinov Rivaldy/Pitha Haningtyas Mentari
• Dejan Ferdinansyah/Siti Fadia Silva Ramadhanti

“I feel special happiness and pride, especially since this is my first Sudirman Cup appearance after leaving Cipayung,” said Rehan.

“First, I didn’t expect that after being removed from my position, I would suddenly be called back for Sudirman Cup – it certainly brings a sense of pride. So, there’s a desire to give our best. Since we’ve been trusted, we won’t do things halfway. We’ll definitely go all out.”

The 25-year-old player admits feeling comfortable returning to train in Cipayung — despite having non-national training camp status for the past three months.
