Rehan/Gloria Fall in Taipei Open 2025 Round of 16

Rehan Naufal Kusharjanto and Gloria Emanuelle Widjaja suffered a disappointing exit in the round of 16 at the Taipei Open 2025, held at Taipei Arena, Taiwan.

The Indonesian mixed doubles pair lost in a tight three-game match against Thailand’s Phuwanat Horbanluekit and Sapsiree Terattanachai, who delivered a surprising performance despite being a newly formed duo.

Sapsiree Terattanachai, a former world No. 1 and world champion with Dechapol Puavaranukroh, brought valuable experience that helped stabilize the new partnership.

Rehan/Gloria showed promise early on by taking control of the first game with sharp attacks targeting Horbanluekit, but they couldn’t maintain their momentum and were eventually eliminated from the tournament.
