Rehan/Gloria fail to reach China Open semifinals after losing to top seeds

Rehan Naufal Kusharjanto and Gloria Emanuelle Widjaja suffered a defeat in the quarterfinals of China Open 2025 held at the Olympic Sports Center Gymnasium, Changzhou.

The world number 16 mixed doubles pair — had to acknowledge the superiority of the host’s top seeds, Feng Yan Zhe/Huang Dong Ping with scores of 14-21, 11-21.

The match that lasted 38 minutes — showed the Chinese pair’s dominance from the start. Feng/Huang immediately took control with their fast-paced game and led the first game interval with a decisive score of 11-3.

Although Rehan/Gloria managed to gain points from successful challenges — they still struggled to contain the attacks launched by the host pair until finally surrendering in straight games.
