Rehan/Gloria eliminated in Japan Open 2025 second round

Rehan Naufal Kusharjanto and Gloria Emanuelle Widjaja ended their Japan Open 2025 campaign after being defeated by Tang Chun Man/Tse Ying Suet at Tokyo Metropolitan Gymnasium on Thursday (17/7).

The Indonesian pair representing PB Djarum — struggled to adapt to the slow court conditions while facing the tournament’s third seeds who play left-handed.

Despite taking a 13-9 lead in the second game — Rehan/Gloria failed to maintain their advantage and ultimately had to concede to the Hong Kong representatives.

At the start of the match, the Indonesian pair fell behind 2-6 due to several unforced errors. Although they managed to close the gap to 5-6 through aggressive drive attacks — they still found it difficult to control the game against Tang/Tse.
