Rehan/Gloria Advance to Second Round of China Open 2025

According to Bolasport.com, Indonesian mixed doubles pair Rehan Naufal Kusharjanto/Gloria Emanuelle Widjaja have advanced to the second round of China Open 2025 after defeating Indian representatives.

The world number 19 pair overcame Ashith Surya/Amrutha Pramuthesh with a score of 21-12, 21-17 in a match held at the Olympic Sports Center Gymnasium, Changzhou.

Though the early game was tight until 6-6 — Rehan/Gloria then showed dominance by securing five consecutive points heading into the interval. Their advantage continued to widen until reaching an eight-point margin at 16-8.

Surya/Pramuthesh, ranked 40th in the world, have limited experience in BWF World Tour level — their best achievement so far being the Sri Lanka International Challenge title last year.
