Daejeon JungKwanJang Red Sparks — coached by Ko Hee-jin — suffered their second straight loss in the 2024-2025 Korean Volleyball League finals against Incheon Heungkuk Life Pink Spiders.

In yesterday’s match at Pink Spiders’ home court, Red Sparks conceded to the hosts with a score of 2-3 (25-23, 25-18, 22-25, 12-25, 12-15) after a five-set battle.

Indonesian volleyball player Megawati Hangestri Pertiwi emerged as Red Sparks’ top scorer — contributing 25 points, three points more than her Serbian teammate Vanja Bukilic.

“I am very disappointed and sad because we couldn’t secure another victory,” said Ko Hee-jin after the match.

Red Sparks now find themselves in a difficult position — needing to win the third game to keep their championship hopes alive.
