Red Bull Ring Extends F1 Contract until 2041

Formula 1 has announced a long-term contract extension with Red Bull Ring — the circuit will continue to host the Austrian Grand Prix until 2041.

F1 CEO Stefano Domenicali emphasized that Austria holds a special place in this elite racing series.

“The vision and passion of Dietrich Mateschitz provided the investment and attention that allowed this race to return as an incredible event on the Formula 1 calendar,” said Domenicali.

Red Bull Ring has a rich history in F1 — first hosting races in 1964 at Zeltweg Airfield, then operating as Osterreichring (1970-1987) and A1-Ring (1997-2003).

Mark Mateschitz, son of Red Bull’s founder, expressed his pride in continuing his father’s legacy.

“I am proud to continue my father’s legacy and preserve the motor racing history in Styria. Austria’s close ties with Formula 1 provide the perfect foundation for our long-term partnership,” said Mark.
