Real Madrid Secures Argentine Wonderkid Franco Mastantuono

Franco Mastantuono has officially become Real Madrid’s new player after the Spanish giants triggered his release clause from River Plate worth 45 million euros.

The 17-year-old Argentine wonderkid — often dubbed as Argentina’s Lamine Yamal — has signed a six-year contract with Los Blancos until June 2031.

Despite officially becoming Real Madrid’s property, Mastantuono cannot immediately join his new club — this is due to FIFA regulations prohibiting international transfers of players under 18 years of age.

The talented young midfielder will turn 18 in mid-August — only then can he officially join Real Madrid’s squad.
