Real Madrid Plans to Release Academy Player After Carreras Signing

Real Madrid has announced the arrival of Alvaro Carreras from Benfica, as confirmed through an official club statement.

“Real Madrid and Benfica have reached an agreement for the transfer of Alvaro Carreras,” reads the statement.

The 24-year-old left-back — was acquired for a transfer fee of 50 million euros to be paid in installments to the Portuguese club.

Los Blancos now plans to streamline their squad — by releasing one of their academy graduates following Carreras’ arrival in this summer transfer window.
