Real Madrid had to settle for a point against Al Hilal in their Group H opener of the 2025 Club World Cup at Hard Rock Stadium.

Gonzalo Garcia put Madrid ahead in the 34th minute — converting a precise pass from Rodrygo with an accurate shot into Al Hilal’s net.

Madrid’s lead was short-lived after Raul Asencio committed a foul in the penalty area by pulling Leonardo’s jersey. The referee immediately pointed to the spot — Ruben Neves successfully converted the penalty to level the score.

The 1-1 scoreline remained until the final whistle — both teams sharing points in their first group H match.
