Razif Sidek hopes for all-Malaysian final at Japan Open 2025

According to Bolasport.com, former Malaysian badminton player Razif Sidek expressed high hopes for Japan Open 2025 — his country’s two men’s doubles pairs have potential to meet in the final.

Goh Sze Fei/Nur Izzuddin Rumsani and Aaron Chia/Soh Wooi Yik occupy first and second seeding positions in this BWF World Tour Super 750 tournament. Defending champions Goh/Nur are placed in the upper pool, while Chia/Soh have advantageous positioning in the lower pool.

Sidek — who was part of Malaysia’s 1992 Thomas Cup team — sees great potential for an all-Malaysian final. This optimism isn’t unfounded, considering both pairs achieved similar success at Malaysia Masters earlier this year.
