Raul Fernandez still struggling to adapt to Aprilia bike in MotoGP

Raul Fernandez — Trackhouse Racing Aprilia rider — is experiencing a difficult period in MotoGP 2025, according to PaddockGP.

The Spanish rider has achieved only one top-10 finish — specifically during the rain-affected French MotoGP at Circuit Bugatti. Currently, Fernandez lags behind his teammate AI Ogura who holds 12th position with 43 points, while he remains stuck in 19th place with 25 points.

“Yes, this is a difficult time. We are trying to support him as best we can, with various settings and approaches,” stated Davide Brivio, Trackhouse Racing team principal.

“I don’t feel 100 percent comfortable on the bike yet. We’re only at 80-90 percent,” said Fernandez. “It’s 50/50 between rider and machine — we need to find the balance.”

The team has implemented various improvements through testing at Aragon — including modifications to chassis, aerodynamics, and braking position. Despite suboptimal results, Trackhouse Racing remains committed to retaining Fernandez until the end of 2026 season.
