Following a prolonged absence from competitive play, veteran offlaner Roman “RAMZES666” Kushnarev has recently been linked to rumors about forming a new team for the 2025 season. However, he has now addressed and clarified these speculations.

During a personal livestream, Ramzes stated that he no longer has any interest in returning to professional Dota, feeling content with the accolades he has already achieved — notably the two Major titles he clinched in Kuala Lumpur and Bucharest back in 2018.

“What’s the point of sitting there and playing these tournaments? Can anyone give me one reason? I have two championships in Dota, the rest don’t exist. I asked, what am I supposed to do for?”

The 25-year-old player did not elaborate further on his reluctance to rejoin the professional scene. But some of his peers and friends have previously suggested that ongoing physical health issues may prevent him from enduring the demands of long-term competition.

On the other hand, Ramzes has expressed interest in transitioning to a coaching role, guiding teams to compete in premier tournaments like the ESL circuit and The International. Given his strong connections with several top-tier organizations, the possibility of him stepping into a coaching position remains wide open.
