According to an official announcement from DPMM FC, Ramadhan Sananta — striker for the Indonesia national football team — has decided to join the Brunei Darussalam club, turning down an offer from Persija Jakarta.

DPMM FC confirmed that Sananta will fill their ASEAN player slot for the current season. “Ramadhan Sananta has agreed to join the Brunei Darussalam club,” the statement read on the club’s official website.

Ramadhan received offers from several top Indonesian clubs, but his first choice was always DPMM FC from Brunei Darussalam.

DPMM FC is a club with a long-standing history — it began as a college team in 1994 before transforming into a professional football club in 2000. The club is owned by the Crown Prince of Brunei, Prince Al-Muhtadee Billah.
