Ram Returns to NASCAR Truck Series after Decade-Long Absence

According to Motorsport.com, John Probst, NASCAR executive vice president, announced Ram’s return to NASCAR Truck Series — joining Chevrolet, Ford, and Toyota starting in the 2026 season.

The official announcement was made at Michigan International Speedway, with Ram planning to field four to six race trucks for the 2026 season opener.

“We are excited to welcome Ram back to the Truck Series. This is a big moment for our entire sport and existing competitors,” said Probst.

The unveiled Ram 1500 concept adopts elements from the Sport Truck lineup — including Warlock, Rebel and RHO models with aerodynamic adjustments to meet NASCAR competition standards.

Previously, Ram secured Truck Series manufacturer titles in:

  • 2001
  • 2003
  • 2004

While returning to Truck Series, Ram has no immediate plans to participate in the Cup Series. NASCAR has also indicated the possibility of increasing the field size to accommodate Ram’s entry into the competition.
