Ralf Schumacher Slams Lance Stroll’s Harsh Comments About Aston Martin Car

Former Formula 1 driver and Sky Sports Germany presenter Ralf Schumacher strongly condemns Lance Stroll’s statement insulting the Aston Martin AMR25 after the British GP — calling such behavior “unacceptable.”

The Canadian driver finished seventh after running in third position — however over team radio, he expressed frustration by saying his car was “the worst he had ever driven.”

“We are often criticized for being too harsh on him, but you could see in these Silverstone conditions, a driver needs to be able to handle the car,” Schumacher explained on the Sky Deutschland Backstage Pitlane podcast. “This statement is very disappointing and a matter of manners. The mechanics work day and night so they can race — and then the team owner’s son comes along with comments like that.”

Speaking to media after the race, Stroll offered more measured comments — focusing on tire degradation issues and performance comparisons with other teams.

After 12 races in the 2025 season, Aston Martin holds eighth in the constructors’ standings with 36 points — level with Racing Bulls in seventh position.
