Rahmat Syawal targeted by two Malaysian clubs

Indonesia U-23 national team defender Rahmat Syawal — who currently plays for PSIS Semarang — has become a target for two Malaysian clubs, Kelantan FC and Penang FC.

The 190-centimeter tall player remains part of the Indonesia U-23 national team squad currently undergoing training camp in preparation for the 2025 ASEAN Cup U-23.

Despite making 14 appearances in Liga 1 this season with PSIS Semarang — who will be relegated to Liga 2 next season — the efforts of both Malaysian clubs to secure the signature of this 20-year-old player are predicted to be challenging.

This is because Rahmat Syawal remains under a long-term contract with PSIS Semarang until 2027.
